Terms of Service

Last updated: September 20, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and ShelfStalk ("ShelfStalk", "we", "us", "our"), which runs the ShelfStalk website and mobile app — a community-driven platform where people post and browse in-store deals. By creating an account or using ShelfStalk, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use ShelfStalk.

Who can use ShelfStalk

What you post

Acceptable use

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour on ShelfStalk. Please don't:

You can report a deal or comment, and block another user, from within the website and the app. We review reports and may remove content or suspend or delete accounts that break these rules, at our discretion and without notice where needed to protect other users.

Deals are posted by the community

Deals on ShelfStalk are posted and confirmed by users and by businesses, not by us. We don't check every deal, and we can't promise that a price, offer or stock is accurate or still available when you arrive. Check with the shop. A shop's own price and terms apply, not what you saw on ShelfStalk. Businesses that post deals are responsible for making sure their offers are honest and lawful.

Points, badges and the leaderboard

Points, tiers and badges are just for fun and recognition. They have no cash value, and we may change or reset how they work.

Your account

You can delete your account at any time from Account Settings; this permanently deletes your profile and what you've posted, as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

Our responsibility

ShelfStalk is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it running well but can't promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for losses caused by relying on a deal listed on ShelfStalk, for other users' content, or for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have as a consumer under Irish or EU law, or our liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited (for example for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where reasonable, tell you in the app or by email. Using ShelfStalk after a change means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have to bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live.
